Sojourney is an iPhone app that transforms your travel photos into a beautiful journey map and slideshow. Simply select photos from any road trip and Sojourney automatically reads the GPS location from each photo, groups them into stops, plots your route on a map, and creates a cinematic slideshow you can share with friends and family.

Section 3 — Frequently Asked Questions

Why aren't my photos showing a location on the map?
Sojourney reads the GPS data built into your photos. If a photo has no location, make sure Location Services is enabled for your Camera app. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Camera → set to "While Using."
How many photos can I add to a trip?
There is no set limit. Very large trips with hundreds of photos will create larger slideshow files which may take longer to upload when sharing.
How do I share my journey with someone who doesn't have Sojourney?
Tap the Share button in your trip and choose "Share Temporary Link." This creates a web link anyone can open in Safari — no app required. The link is active for approximately 14 days.
How do I share with another Sojourney user?
Tap the Share button and choose "Share with Sojourney Users." This creates a .sojourney file. The recipient taps the file in Messages or Mail and it opens directly in Sojourney on their device.
Can I add more photos to a trip after I've created it?
Yes. Open the trip, tap any pin on the map, tap Manage in the detail card, then tap Add Photos.
Can I add captions to my photos?
Yes. Open the trip, tap a pin, tap Manage, then tap any photo to add a caption. Captions appear in the slideshow and in shared web links.
How do I add music to my slideshow?
Open the trip, tap the music note icon in the toolbar, and choose from the built-in tracks or pick a song from your iTunes library.
Why is my slideshow file too large to share?
Very large trips may exceed the limit of free upload services. For larger slideshows, configure Cloudinary in Settings (tap ⋯ → Upload Settings). Cloudinary is free and supports much larger files.
How do I delete a trip?
On the main screen, swipe left on any trip and tap Delete.
Does Sojourney require an account or subscription?
No. Sojourney requires no account, no login, and no subscription. It is a one-time purchase.

Section 4 — Privacy Policy

Sojourney is designed with your privacy in mind.-Sojourney accesses your photo library only to read GPS location and date information from photos you select. Your photos are never uploaded or shared without your explicit action.
-Location data from your photos is used only to build your journey map on your device.
-Sojourney does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers.
-No account or login is required.
When you choose to share a slideshow via a temporary link, your selected photos are uploaded to a third-party file hosting service for a limited time (approximately 14 days) and then automatically deleted.
